Just a few weeks ago someone came up to me and said that the Lord had given them a “word” for me the word was ‘Let go of the past and embrace the future”. What a word! They did not know that God had been speaking to me about some things and that brought confirmation to my spirit. Well I began to think upon the old and the new. There are some things we must let go of in our past that affect our present as well as our future. Jesus taught His disciples this in Matthew 9: 16-17 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, making the rear worse. Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do the wine will run out and the wine skins will be ruined. NO they pour new wine into new wineskins and both are preserved” This really spoke to my spirit; I believe God is doing a new thing in us individually as well as corporately. God is trying to do something new, but unless we’re willing to change, unless we‘re willing to expand and enlarge our vision, we’ll miss His opportunities for us. We must conceive it in our heart and mind before we can receive It. In other words, we must make room for increase in our own thinking, then God will bring those things to pass. Until we learn how to enlarge our vision seeing the future through the eyes of faith, our won wrong thinking will prevent good things from happening in our life. God will not pour fresh, creative ideas and blessing into old attitudes. God has so much more in store for us. Start making room of it in your thing. Conceive it on the inside, Start seeing yourself rising to a new level doing something of significance. Get rid of those old wineskins. Change your thinking. Get beyond the barriers of the past and start expecting God to do great things in your life. There is a seed within you trying to take root. That’s God trying to get you to conceive. He’s trying to fill you with so much hope and expectancy that the seed will grow and bring forth a tremendous harvest. God want s to do big things in your life. Don’t settle for a small view of God. We serve the God that created the universe. We’ve got to eliminate this barley-get –by mentality. Get rid of those old wineskins. Get rid of that small-minded thinking and start thinking as god thinks. Think BIG! Think INCREASE! Think ABUNDANCE! Think MORE THAN ENOUGH! Enlarge your vision!
